Lifestyle entrepreneur, founder of Edziza Trails - Aboriginal Adventure Tours
Curtis is a member of the Crow clan and Nalokoteen (end of the ridge nation) of the Tahltan Nation and his Tahltan name is ‘Ninth glun adz.’ He leads the program on Wholistic Indigenous Leadership Development ™ and capacity building services for First Nations and aboriginal organizations. An experienced backcountry hiker and camper, he also has extensive experience working in the aboriginal rights and title sector.
Curtis is back at Groundswell to share his experience as an entrepreneur grounded in aboriginal values, and how we can all work towards decolonization with values-based living, and deeper connection to the land, each other and ourselves.
This part summer, Curtis was a panelist at Groundswell for Doing Things Differently: EduAction Igniting a New Economy, and kick-started the Youth Microbusiness Program with a 3 day seminar including a screening of Colours of Edziza. Read about it on the blog!

You are invited
to the Groundswell SocialS: a weekly event featuring local entrepreneurs, community activists, and professionals who are making real positive change on the ground in Vancouver and are eager to share their experience and insight with you.
Call it social enterprise, community building, social innovation, changemaking, meaningful work, professional development, or just kicking back with a beer and a room full of curious, smart, heart-centered doers (yes, this means YOU!) - come and find your community here. And, get the tips, tricks, and stories that are creating the map to that better future, as we venture there.
a new speaker, or set of speakers, will share their story and experience and engage in dialogue with attendees in a Q&A session. Afterwards, the bar will remain open and you can stay - or come late and join us then! - for a casual, warm soiree where you can energize and grow the groundswell of social change together, with play and work.
$10 gets you in with a drink in your hand (a beer/wine/coffee/tea/soda is included with your donation).
No one will be turned away: please email firstname.lastname@example.org if the entry fee is a barrier to your attendance.
